from QSW, with love...

I was so stoked to find out that we were even being considered by QSW to have a new window display created for us - so when a member of their display team showed up yesterday to surprise us, my excitement was off the charts!! He quickly got to work and by the end of the day we had our awesome new spring/summer window!! Definitely check it/us out asap - but in the meantime......

~The Finished Product!!!! Love it SO much~

The display currently features the Native Squares Tunic by QSW. This piece has been a customer favorite since it first arrived! Each week (or every other week - depending on my love for it) I'll feature a different QSW piece in our awesome new display!!

On the Bright Side...

Anyone who knew me in my Free People days knows that I've always been resistant to lace or crochet in any colors except ivory, black and maybe nude. I'm sure the sounds of me yelling "why would they make this ORANGE?!?!" could be heard echoing through the halls of the Short Hills Mall on a weekly basis. But those days may be behind me now that I've seen the "Lace Struck" Top in Lime from Volcom!! The color makes a statement without being a loud-mouth and there's so many fun layering opportunities!! My favorites are layering this fun lace top over a body con dress - like the Volcom Unda Cova Love Dress - or, if you're feeling daring, try it over a fun printed bralette - like any of Volcom's Mad Love bralettes!

Found in Translation

"I am inspired by simple geometric shapes and textile patterns from the 1930's. A customer told me that my jewelry has it's own language. I like that idea." - Marisa Howard of Seaworthy

When I came across Marisa's Seaworthy jewelry line - I immediately wanted to speak her language at least as much as I've ever wanted to speak French or Italian. The line is fluent in rad distressed metals and accented with charms and simple little details that create a dialect all their own. Every item is handmade in Portland, Oregon by Marisa. Come check out the line and find the piece that speaks to you!!
